Orange have some of the most exhaustive and varied SIM only contract deals of
any UK mobile network. If you want to keep using your existing handset
and even keep your existing mobile number but want to switch to a new, better
value contract then a SIM only deal from Orange may be right for you,
not just because they have tried to create something for everyone with their
contracts but because they have added extras that other networks don't.
Orange SIM Only Tariffs
There are an incredible seven different price plans on the SIM only option from
Orange, starting from £12 a month and going right up to £30 a month.
These prices are of course subject to a reduction thanks to the reduction in
VAT, but it's easier to talk about the plans in whole numbers so as not to
confuse matters. The cheapest £12 a month tariff offers 150 free minutes to call
any UK mobile or landline a month as well as a massive 500 free texts
so that you can keep in contact with your mates without worrying about going
over the monthly limit. There are two different £15 a month options to
accommodate talkers and texters. You have the option of either a tariff with 300
minutes and 100 texts, or alternatively you can pay the same amount but
go for the option of 200 minutes and unlimited free texts. It all depends on
what you usually use your mobile for the most. For £20 a month you are given
600 minutes and unlimited texts, which is the best of both worlds for the
average user, and again there are two different tariffs both of which will
cost £25 a month. You have the choice of either 700 minutes and unlimited texts
or 800 minutes with 100 texts, which again will be decided by how much
you talk or text, and it shouldn't be too hard to decide. The most expensive £30
a month SIM free deal from Orange gives you 1200 free voice minutes plus
500 texts which should really be enough for anyone. There are simply so many
options with an Orange SIM only package that anyone should find the right
fit for them.
Orange SIM Only Benefits
The best thing about a SIM only deal is that the minimum contract length is only
30 days. With most mobile phone contracts that come with a 'free'
handset you'll need to cover the cost of the handset over a minimum of 12
months, with most contracts offering reasonable minutes requiring a
commitment of 18 months or more. This is not the case with a SIM only deal from
Orange, so you won't be tied down and are free to leave If you're not
happy with the service after 30 days. The second benefit is that the SIM card
itself and the set up of the connection is entirely free on any of the
pay monthly SIM only contracts so there are no hidden charges. As with every
Orange customer you'll also be entitled to a buy one get one free offer on
cinema tickets every Wednesday, which if you are a regular cinema-goer will save
you bucket loads of cash.
