Sim Only Deal adverts

As you may be aware and have seen the big mobile phone networks such as O2 and Tmobile as well as the other networks are advertising sim only deal offers on the TV. They are trying to push people to switch as they do offer the customer better value. They are also advertising on billboards, buses, flyers and more. See how many ads you can spot for them when your next out and about. We reckon you will find you will see at least one if you watch the TV for a couple of hours.

Tmobile business sim only launches

Tmobile have stepped up there game by offering a business sim only deal that is very competitive and worth great consideration by businesses mainly small and medium. The offer currently stands at 2000 minutes and unlimited texts with the option of £5 a month extra for unlimited data. The tariff is available on the 30 day rolling contract for £30 a month, or if you commit to 6 months it will be reduced and for 12 months reduced even more to around £25 a month. The tmobile business sim are going to be popular mainly with sole traders or small businesses who want to cut costs and don't really need a new handset every year.

Many other networks are now looking at the success of sim only and seeing if they can apply it to business customers and make more from them while offering them a great deal at the same time. So we expect to see an increase in offers aimed specifically at the business cliental. The business sim page on our website can be found using the menu at the top and we will update it when new business deals are available, so if your a business user or know someone who may be suitable and save some money then point them in that direction.

Sim Only Affects Handset Sales

As the economic crisis is hitting countries day in day out the mobile industry has cleverly responded by offering the public cheaper deals on sim only plans. These give the user around the same or better number of free minutes and text messages that they are used to but at a much lower monthly payment.

With these sim only deals it means one thing, less handset sales especially direct from the manufacturer to the networks and merchants. This is hitting these manufacturers hard and some have seen lower profits than before. The market has seen a near 100% increase from January 2008 to Jan 09. Some have suggested that sim only represents 20% of the contract market nowadays and this is showing a 15% or so drop in handset sales.

.The solution as seen by some is to provide the option of buying sim free mobile phones, these are currently very expensive but the idea would be to create low to mid priced range of mobile phones to allow those on sim only contracts to buy a new handset for a small price if there current mobile breaks or they just fancy a change. But the question is will the manufactures do this ? or will they just hope that the recession ends soon and people start going back to traditional mobile contracts, we'll have to wait and see as to what they do.
