A 13 year old girl in California sent 14,528 text messages in a single month. That equates to an average of 484 text messages sent every single day! That breaks down to 20.1 texts every hour of every day for a month, further to an average of one message every 2 minutes of every single waking hour of every single day for an entire month.

The mobile phone bill was a whopping 440 pages long and wouldnt fit through the letter box, the astonishing number of text messages meaning that all 440 pages where showing every text message sent.

How much would this have cost ? Well luckily she was on an unlimited text message tariff which meant that it didn't cost too much but if she had been on a standard UK tariff with no free texts this would have cost £1452.80 working on the rate of 10p a text message,

This phone bill is one of the biggest phone bills known due to text messaging alone, another teenager in New Zealand known for her excessive text messaging often sends up to 6,000 messages each month, again she is on a tariff which allows her to send up to 6,000 a month.
